In its first operating period (December 2023 through 2024) the Sanctuary hosted more than 96 guests from over 15 countries — France, Germany, USA, UK, Australia, Austria, Netherlands, Italy, Canada, Chile, Mexico, Japan, China, Peru and others — including individual bookings through Booking.com and Airbnb and a 20-person retreat group, at premium nightly rates.

The closure was caused by weather, not demand. The 2024 storm, drought, and wind hurricanes damaged 12 villa roofs, the yoga hall, and two of three water pumps, and the forced shutdown cost the property its booking flow and trained team.

This is what de-risks the restart. The raise does not test whether guests will come. It restarts a property that has already shown they will — and that did so before any of the marketing, programming, or conservation-led positioning in this plan was in place.
